The Space Special Programs Analyst facilitates SAF/SQXL’s role in the direction, management, and administration of assigned SAPs while serving as the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Space Acquisition and Integration, on all SAP matters. The Special Programs Analyst’s expertise supports SAP life cycle administration, management, and oversight activities for sensitive, advanced space technologies in liaison with DAF, OSD, and US Government SAP stakeholders. Lastly, this position is also responsible for assisting SAF/SQXL as the United States Space Force (USSF) Anti-Tamper (AT) Component Service Lead in support of and contributing to the DoD AT Program.\nResponsibilities\nProviding staff support to SAF/SQXL regarding the range of national security, DoD, and international space equities for DoD SAPs.\n\nAssisting the customer (SAF/SQXL), Field Commands, SAF, and DAF and DoD SAP Central Office (SAPCO) on space-related SAP efforts and represents space equities in the SAP governance, management, and oversight activities.\n\nCollaborating with DAF and DoD SAP enterprise stakeholders on multi-domain SAP matters requiring a coordinated DAF position.\n\nUsing expertise to research, analyze, and review space SAP governance actions and activities, program protections and security functions, and risk assessments to support proposals positively impacting a SAP program’s security life cycle.\n\nAssisting in SAF/SQXL’s execution of original classification authority responsibilities and conducting reviews and assessments of SAP security classification guides.\n\nReviewing SAP foreign disclosure staff packages for Deputy Secretary of Defense authorization in support of international cooperation activities.\n\nFacilitating SAP actions in support of international cooperation activities for assigned space SAPs.\n\nParticipating in Anti-Tamper activities, events, and taskings, as directed, which contribute to SAF/SQXL’s role as USSF AT Component Lead. Successfully coordinating with USSF subordinate AT Program Offices to ensure consistency with DAF and DoD AT Program requirements.\n\nConducting reviews of space AT Plans and preparing Decision Memorandums to approve or reject a Plan’s final AT solution.\n\nInteracts with DAF and DoD agencies concerning security issues for assigned space SAPs.\n\nProvides classification management and classification marking guidance as needed.\n\nHandles and protects confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI/TS-SAR) information, correspondence, and communications.\n\nAny other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the customer and COR.\n\nMust have an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility to be considered for the position.\n\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in SAP and 15-20 years of relevant work experience. 9 years overall experience.\n\nWorking familiarity with routine staff packages and documentation as well as task and correspondence coordination tools (e.g., Task Management Tool (TMT), Enterprise Task Management System (ETMS2), and/or Correspondence and Task Management System).\n\nWorking familiarity with SAP IT networks and databases.\n\nWorking familiarity with SAP policy and general SAP security requirements.\n\nProficiency with using Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.\n\nExperience communicating effectively and concisely.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the organization and external to the organization.\n\nProficient writing and editing skills.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing work environments while maintaining consistent levels of performance and
