This is a 100% Remote role.\nJob Description:\nInstall, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS).\nCreate and manage database objects such as tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.\nMonitor and maintain database performance, including tuning and optimization.\nAnalyze and optimize database performance, including query optimization and index management.\nConduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements to ensure optimal system performance.\nDevelop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability.\nPerform regular backups and recovery drills to ensure data can be restored in case of failures or disasters.\nImplement and enforce database security policies and procedures.\nManage user access and permissions to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.\nMonitor database systems for performance, errors, and potential issues using monitoring tools.\nPerform regular maintenance tasks, including database patches and updates.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.\nCollaborate with application developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to resolve database problems.\nMaintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes.\nCreate and update operational manuals and guidelines for database management.\nEnsure databases comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.\nStay updated with the latest developments and trends in database technologies and implement relevant improvements.\n Education:\nBachelors and eight (8) years or more experience.\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nAdvanced certifications are preferred, such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate\nOracle Certified Professional (OCP)\nAWS Certified Database - Specialty\n\nEdifecs certification is a plus.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 8+ years of experience in database administration, preferably with Oracle, and SQL Server.\nProven expertise managing and maintaining Oracle databases and SQL Server.\nExperience in database design and architecture.\nProven experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management.\nProficiency in deploying, managing, and configuring SQL Server and Oracle databases.\nExperience with database monitoring and maintenance tools.\nKnowledge of specific features like automated backups, snapshots, scaling, and read replicas.\nStrong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database architecture, management, and optimization.\nProficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.\nExperience with Oracle and SQL Server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.\nProficiency in Oracle and SQL Server database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.\nExpertise in PL/SQL programming and Oracle database optimization.\nExperience with query optimization and indexing strategies for both SQL Server and Oracle.\nProficiency in using performance monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve database performance issues.\nKnowledge of database backup and recovery techniques, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery strategies.\nExperience implementing and managing automated backup solutions.\nUnderstanding of database security best practices for both SQL Server and Oracle.\nExperience with user authentication, authorization, encryption, and data masking.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex database issues.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.\nStrong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and system stability.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with application developers and system administrators.\nStrong documentation skills for creating and maintaining database configurations, processes, and procedures.\nAbility to manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality results.\nCommitment to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends in database management and cloud services.\nEdifecs experience is a plus.\nClearance Requirement:\nUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a
