and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT procedures\nContinually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels\nEnsures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations\nPlans and implements the modernization of servers.\nDevelops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.\nConducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.\nDevelops and implements new standards, policies and procedures.\nWorks closely with Network and Systems Analysts to help determine and develop the systems that will be implemented. \n Education\nBachelor’s and eight (8) years or more experience\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.\nAdvanced AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are preferred.\nEdifecs certification a plus.\nExperience\nMinimum of 8 or more years of experience in system administration, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.\nProven track record of managing and maintaining complex AWS environments\nHands-on experience with both Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.\nRequirements\nStrong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Networking.\nExperience with AWS security practices and services (e.g., AWS IAM, AWS WAF).\nExperience designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.\nProficient in setting up and managing AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs).\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating AWS tasks.\nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK.\nExperience with AWS monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config).\nAbility to troubleshoot and optimize AWS instances and services for performance.\nKnowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).\nImplementation of encryption, key management, and data protection mechanisms within AWS.\nExperience with AWS database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipeline) and practices.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.\nStrong attention to detail to ensure system stability, security, and data integrity.\nCapability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior administrators and IT staff.\nAbility to lead technical projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nWillingness to be on-call for emergency support and maintenance when required.\nStrong documentation skills for creating and maintaining system configurations, processes, and procedures.\nAbility to manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality results.\nCommitment to staying current with emerging AWS technologies and industry trends.\nEdifecs experience a plus.\nClearance Requirement\nUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
