We are seeking motivated individuals eager to gain entry-level engineering experience in a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development.\nAs an engineering team member, you will:\nApply your technical skills and aptitudes to solve problems, support project requirements, and grow as a systems engineer. You will gain exposure to the entire systems engineering lifecycle and play a role in the development, integration, and sustainment of critical Navy systems. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nSupport the development and documentation of system requirements using Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and principles.\nPerform requirements analysis, functional decomposition, and interface definition for complex hardware/software systems operating in real-time, safety-critical environments.\nSupport the development and maintenance of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS) for multi-subsystem architectures involving embedded computing, networking, and physical I/O.\nCollaborate with team members to ensure system components integrate seamlessly into the larger architecture.\nConduct trade studies and feasibility assessments to evaluate design alternatives ( including hardware selection, network topology, and data distribution approaches) and recommend optimal solutions.\nSupport verification and validation (V&V) planning and execution, including the development of test procedures, test reports, and acceptance criteria for hardware and software components.\n\nParticipate in system-level design reviews and verification/validation activities.\nWork with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems as well as cybersecurity to ensure proper integration and performance ofdistributed system architectures.\nIdentify, assess, and manage project and system risks, including mitigation planning and risk reporting throughout the system lifecycle.\nProvide technical insight to support troubleshooting and resolution of issues during development, production, and fielding phases.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and technical deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.\nContribute to the review and refinement of technical documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.\nMonitor program schedules and provide regular updates on technical progress to leadership and program managers.\n EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, and 0 years of relevant work or internship experience\n\nAbility to understand and work with cyber physical systems\n\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities in dynamic environments\n\nProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nFoundational understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, functional decomposition, interface definition, and verification and validation\nExposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo, or Enterprise Architect\nUnderstanding of risk management principles, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring\nKnowledge of SysML (Systems Modeling Language) for representing system architecture and requirements in MBSE environments\nKnowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CREO)\nFamiliarity with military specifications, standards, or commercial development best practices\nFamiliarity with embedded systems and hardware/software integration concepts, including digital and analog I/O, serial communication buses (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, RS-422/485), and sensor/actuator interfacing\nExperience working in collaborative, team-based environments\nFamiliarity with systems concepts such as requirements management, risk management, verification, or validation\nCLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:\nMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance\nInterim Secret required to start\nSAIC will sponsor qualified candidates for security
