Ashburn, VA 4 days per week for the first year of employment.\nJob Responsibilities\nDuties include conducting user research and usability testing to ensure all designs meet user and client requirements, optimizing services and products for a range of clients, and developing mockups for the design and development teams.\nComponent-Driven Design: Developing structural wireframes, mockups, and task flows tailored for component-based front-end frameworks like Angular and/or React. \nDeveloper Collaboration: Partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure wireframes align with framework constraints, maximizing component reusability and reducing development friction.\nTechnical Handoffs: Delivering precise design handoffs, component specifications, and interactive prototypes that map clearly to front-end development structures.\nDeveloping and maintaining design wire-frames and specifications\nCollaborating with visual designers and creative directors to incorporate brand identity \nCommunicating screen designs, interaction models, end-to-end experiences, and the target audience to other members of the project team\nConsidering the human-computer interface element of a design\nComparing the user experience of existing applications and working to design better alternatives\nKeeping current with industry trends and competitor products, and communicating design prototypes and ideas to developers\nWorking with development teams to design and implement attractive designs while maintaining consistency\nDeveloping task flows and wireframes based on user needs\n Required Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.\nMust be able to create a design from scratch and critique/improve a design \nMust have experience with Figma and Framer to create wireframes and prototypes. \n Previous development experience in HTML/CSS/Javascript is required.\nFramework Familiarity: Strong understanding of UI/UX design patterns for modern front-end frameworks, specifically Angular (or Angular Material) and React.\nTechnical Wireframing: Expert proficiency in high-utility wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) with a focus on logical layout hierarchy.\nFront-End Literacy: Solid conceptual understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive layouts like Flexbox/Grid) to guarantee design feasibility.\nExperience in Adobe, Sketch, Jira, Confluence, Wireframing Tools.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present concepts, ideas, and insights to the project team and clients.\nFamiliarity with information architecture and interaction design.\nBackground in project research and management, and a strong portfolio of design projects.\nSolid understanding of user experience design fundamentals, such as rules of typography and data visualization techniques.\nMust be self-motivated and take initiative to continually meet with team leads.\nDemonstrate analytical capability and strong Microsoft Excel Skills.\nStrong writing and presentation skills.\nFlexibility to work in a constantly changing environment.\nCustomer Requirements\nClearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation\nCitizenship - Must be a US Citizen\nLocation - This position will require on-site work in Ashburn, VA 4 days per week for the first year of employment.
