This essential program provides Veterans with timely, accurate, and thorough medical examinations, and plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our Nation's Veterans.\nAs a UX/UI Designer you will collaborate with software developers, systems engineers and other product team members as part of an agile software development team to ensure quality product and timely delivery in meeting stakeholder needs and IT Accessibility Standards.\nResponsibilities\nOptimize services and products and developing mockups for the design and development teams\n\nComponent-Driven Design: Developing structural wireframes, mockups, and task flows tailored for component-based front-end frameworks like Angular and/or React\n\nDeveloper Collaboration: Partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure wireframes align with framework constraints, maximizing component reusability and reducing development friction\n\nTechnical Handoffs: Delivering precise design handoffs, component specifications, and interactive prototypes that map clearly to front-end development structures\n\nDeveloping and maintaining design wire-framesand specifications\n\nCommunicating screen designs, interaction models, end-to-end experiences, and the target audience to other members of the project team\n\nConsidering the human-computer interface element of a design\n\nComparing the user experience of existing applications and working to design better alternatives\n\nKeeping current with industry trends and competitor products and communicating design prototypes and ideas to developers\n\nWorking with development teams to design and implement attractive designs while maintaining consistency\n\nDeveloping task flows and wireframes based on user needs\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience\n\nMust be able to create a design from scratch and critique/improve a design\n\nMust have experience with Figma and Framer to create wireframes and prototypes\n\nFramework Familiarity: Strong understanding of UI/UX design patterns for modern front-end frameworks\n\nTechnical Wireframing: Expert proficiency in high-utility wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) with a focus on logical layout hierarchy\n\nFront-End Literacy: Solid conceptual understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive layouts like Flexbox/Grid) to guarantee design feasibility\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present concepts, ideas, and insights to the project team and clients\n\nSolid understanding of user experience design fundamentals, such as rules of typography and data visualization techniques\n\nMust be self-motivated and take initiative to continually meet with team leads\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious development experience in HTML/CSS/Javascript\n\nExperience supporting Federal government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments\n\nKnowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP)\n\nClearance -
