# UX/UI Engineer

SAIC is seeking a UX/ UI Engineer to support Joint Engineering and Test Enterprise Portal (JETEP) software development activities to deploy tools, capabilities, and content.The ideal candidate will design intuitive user interfaces and contribute production frontend code using React and TypeScript. The primary focus is UI/UX design and collaboration with requirements, development, and testing teams. This person must also be able to work in the existing codebase to implement features, improve shared components, and resolve UI issues as priorities required. Responsibilities: Work with requirements analysts, stakeholders, and developers to translate user needs, business rules, and UI requirements into practical designs. Identify gaps, clarify interactions, and help define measurable acceptance criteria. Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma. Design new experiences and evaluate and improve existing application interfaces. Document expected behavior, including validation, loading and empty states, error handling, permission dependent behavior, keyboard navigation, and responsive layouts. Maintain consistent design patterns and reusable components
