You will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of warehouse and despatch activities, ensuring finished goods are handled safely, accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of health and safety, stock integrity, operational performance and customer service. The role also has responsibility for supporting and developing the operational team and driving continuous improvement.\nYou will work Monday to Friday on a 3-shift rotation (Dayshift/Nightshift/Backshift) managing a team of up to 4 Warehouse Operatives\nKey Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not limited to)\nLeading the day-to-day warehouse and despatch operation, ensuring activities are effectively planned, coordinated and controlled.\nPlanning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and despatch of goods, working closely with customers, suppliers and SAICA 3PL’s teams to effectively co-ordinate transport and deliveries in line with business requirements.\nMaintain accurate stock, reconciliation and system data for internal and external warehouse, ensuring operational processes and controls are consistently followed\nManaging warehouse space and ensuring the effective use of mechanical handling equipment while meeting operational, quality and budgetary requirements.\nLeading, supporting and developing the warehouse team through effective communication, training and continuous improvement\nEstablishing, monitoring and maintaining agreed performance levels and KPIs across warehouse activities.\nMaintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are consistently applied, including completion and recording of employee inductions and training\nEnsuring environmental controls, quality and operational procedures are in place and effective.\nManaging operational costs effectively.\nBuilding effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers and 3PL providers.\nReviewing working practices and identifying opportunities to improve warehouse and despatch processes.\nProducing and communicating operational reports and KPI information\nFacilitating regular operational meetings to communicate priorities, objectives and performance to the team.\nKey Experience and Qualifications\nSignificant warehouse management or supervisory experience within a high-volume manufacturing despatch environment, is essential.\nProven experience of leading, motivating and developing an operational warehouse team\nExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or stock-control systems.\nSuper User with SAP system\nExperience completing or overseeing transport, despatch, stock and inventory-related administration\nExperience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers\nStrong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to remain effective in a busy operational environment.\nExperience with problem solving and troubleshooting\nStrong communication and people-management skills, with the confidence to work effectively with colleagues, customers and suppliers.\nCompetent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.\nWork Experience:\nForklift, General Administration, General Health & Safety (H&S), Health & Safety, Logistics, People, System, WarehouseEducation:\nNVQ (National Vocational Qualification): Mathematics (Required), NVQ (National Vocational Qualification): Supply ChainWorker Type:\nRegularWhy choose Us\nBy joining the Saica Group, you're choosing more than a job - you're choosing a purpose-driven career that aligns with your values.
