Sail was founded by Flagship Pioneering. \nThe Role\nThe Associate Project Manager / Project Manager will oversee cross-functional programs across research, development, and operational teams. This role will partner closely with scientists, technical experts, and executive leadership to ensure projects are executed efficiently, risks are managed proactively, and key milestones are achieved on schedule.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with an understanding of the biotechnology industry and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments.\nResponsibilities \nDevelop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts.\nCoordinate project activities across functions and external partners.\nTrack project progress against key milestones, deliverables, and objectives.\nDevelop mitigation strategies and escalation plans.\nFacilitate project team meetings and ensure clear communication of decisions, risks, and action items.\nFoster collaboration and resolve issues that may impact timelines, scope, or quality.\nDrive accountability and alignment across stakeholders to maintain project momentum.\nSupport strategic planning and prioritization activities across multiple programs.\nPrepare project updates, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.\nSupport portfolio review meetings and governance processes.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of project management or project coordination experience; or Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or ScD) with 2+ years demonstrated experience contributing to or leading cross-functional project teams.\nExperience managing timelines and deliverables and driving execution toward strategic objectives.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.\nStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.\nDemonstrated ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.\nCandidates will be considered for either the Associate Project Manager or Project Manager level based on experience and demonstrated project leadership capabilities.\nSalary Range: $105,000-$140,000\nSail Biomedicines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
