In this role, most of your focus will be dedicated to designing, building, and scaling high-throughput backend services using TypeScript, complemented by meaningful contributions to our modern React user interfaces. You will own features across the entire software development lifecycle-from architectural design and database modeling to frontend integration, automated testing, and production deployment-ensuring our applications remain scalable, resilient, and performant.\nAbout the Team\nYou will join an established, highly collaborative engineering team with mature engineering practices and a live product operating at enterprise scale. We support one another through constructive design reviews, thorough code reviews, and shared ownership of system quality, reliability, and standards.\nRoadmap for Success\nWithin 30 Days:\nComplete SailPoint onboarding and integrate into team agile ceremonies, workflows, and developer environments.\nDevelop a solid understanding of our system architecture, TypeScript backend microservices, React UI codebase, and AWS cloud infrastructure.\nShip your first bug fix or minor enhancement to production using our CI/CD pipelines.\nWithin 60 Days:\nDesign, build, and deliver full stack features with minimal guidance, spanning database schema updates to UI components.\nActively participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design documentation.\nEngage in team observability practices, monitoring service health, performance metrics, and logs in production.\nWithin 90 Days:\nIndependently lead the technical execution of feature deliverables from concept through deployment and post-launch verification.\nIdentify and implement improvements in backend performance, database queries, and system reliability.\nPartner cross-functionally with product management and fellow engineers to clarify technical requirements and delivery milestones.\nWithin 6 Months:\nDrive initiatives that scale core backend services and enhance the overall resilience and maintainability of our stack.\nChampion engineering best practices, contributing to shared tooling, testing standards, and architectural patterns.\nMentor junior and mid-level team members through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.\nWithin 1 Year:\nServe as a key subject matter expert for critical backend services and full stack capabilities.\nHelp define technical roadmaps, long-term architectural strategies, and scalability enhancements for next-generation systems.\nElevate operational excellence and continuous delivery standards across the team.\nRequirements\nBachelors degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience\n4+ years of professional software development experience with TypeScript\n2+ years of professional software development experience with Go \n3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying applications on AWS\nProven experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems at high scale\nStrong experience with relational databases and SQL\nExperience with React and modern frontend development\nExperience with CI/CD workflows and automated testing\nExperience with cloud observability, distributed tracing, and production monitoring\nAI-assisted engineering:\nOur engineers are expected to use AI development tools as a core part of their daily workflow, not as a novelty. We expect you to use these tools to accelerate delivery, expand your scope, and raise the quality bar, while applying strong engineering judgment to review, validate, and own everything that ships under your name.
