Just ask the millions of people up and down the country who choose to shop with us every week.\nMore about you\nWe would like to hear from you if...\nYou are a qualified LGV Driver C+E with an up-to-date CPC qualification.\nYou have minimum of 1 year experience driving LGVs\nYou understand tachograph laws and rules and regulations of the road.\nYou have good geographic knowledge of UK roads.\nYou have experience driving articulated vehicles.\nYou have an ability to work without direct supervision.\nYou have excellent communication skills.\nYou have an ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.\nMore about the Role\nThe key part of the role is to deliver goods safely to RDC’s and return to depot according to the plan and adhering to all legal requirements and safety.\nUnlike many driver roles, there is minimal manual handling requirements and minimal store work, focusing mainly on supplier collections and DC deliveries.\nAccountable for understanding and adherence to the route schedule.\nAccountable for ensuring the correct load & paperwork is on board.\nResponsible for ensuring the tractor & trailer unit are road legal.\nResponsible for filling in the check sheets and reporting any defects.\nResponsible for identifying and logging defects into the defect books.\nResponsible for informing the depot of any delays on in their day.\nResponsible for adhering to all tachograph and working time law.\nTo act as an ambassador for the company by always driving and behaving responsibly.\nTo get the best out of our vehicles by driving with care, forward planning, and fuel efficiency.\nEnsuring load security and safety.\nHourly Rates: Weekdays range from £19.69ph to £22.51ph, Weekend rates range between £21.73ph and £24.55ph and there is also a 6th Shift £40 bonus payment per completed shift.\nAdded to competitive rates of pay, the benefits are also great - including paid holiday, colleague discount at Sainsbury’s, Argos, and Habitat after three months.
