Your role will include:\nTeaching four sections of mathematics across grades 9-12.\nDesigning engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support a diverse community of learners.\nProviding meaningful, timely feedback that challenges students and supports their growth.\nCollaborating with department colleagues on curriculum development, course design, and innovative teaching practices.\nServing as an advisor and mentor, supporting students academically and personally throughout their St. Mark’s experience.\nEngaging fully in boarding school life by leading two seasons of co-curricular activities, supervising students during residential evenings, and participating in weekend activities and programs.\nBuilding thoughtful, respectful relationships with students and colleagues that strengthen the School’s inclusive and connected community.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nThe successful candidate will:\nHold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field.\nBring secondary school teaching experience, with two or more years preferred.\nBe prepared and eager to teach a range of courses from geometry through calculus, with the potential to teach advanced electives.\nBring a deep understanding of mathematics and make complex concepts accessible, engaging, and meaningful to high school students.\nUse inclusive teaching practices to support students from diverse backgrounds and with varied learning needs.\nModel creativity, flexibility, and intellectual curiosity in the classroom.\nCollaborate thoughtfully with colleagues and participate fully in boarding school life.\nWork with adolescents with warmth, empathy, and high expectations.\nDemonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\nUse educational technology thoughtfully to support teaching and learning.\nWhy You’ll Love It Here\nJoin a close-knit community with opportunities to develop engaging courses and make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
