Reporting to the Team Lead, First Year Experience, this position leads the planning, coordination, and continuous enhancement of student transition, onboarding, and engagement initiatives across multiple intakes and campuses.\nThis is a dynamic, student-focused role that combines program management, partner collaboration, and event delivery to create meaningful opportunities for connection, belonging, and success. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Coordinator leads complex initiatives involving hundreds of students, multiple campus partners, and a blend of in-person, online, and hybrid experiences.\nThrough strategic planning, strong relationship-building, and data-informed decision-making, the incumbent helps deliver a consistent, high-quality student experience while driving continuous improvements that support student engagement, transition, and persistence.\nHow you'll contribute\nCoordinate and deliver New Student Orientation and first-year experience programs, including in-person and virtual events. \nLead event planning and logistics, including scheduling, facilities, technology, catering, signage, and on-site operations.\nSupport and oversee student volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, recognition, and engagement.\nManage volunteer tracking systems and analyze participation data to enhance volunteer experiences and leadership development opportunities.\nCoordinate peer mentorship and student transition initiatives, including participant recruitment, program delivery, and ongoing support.\nBuild and maintain strong partnerships with academic schools, Student Services, Marketing, the Registrar's Office, and other campus partners.\nDevelop and deliver clear communications to students, volunteers, and campus partners.\nLead meetings with partners, establish project timelines, and coordinate cross-functional onboarding and engagement initiatives.\nCollect, analyze, and report on program participation, feedback, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.\nIdentify and implement process enhancements that improve operational efficiency and the student experience.\nEnsure accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance with institutional policies and procedures.\nLead the development, administration, and evaluation of the Peer Mentorship Program, including outreach, training, engagement strategies, and impact assessment.\nWhat you bring\nBachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Human Services, or a related field.\n3-5 years of experience in student programming or event management\nExperience coordinating events, orientations, onboarding, or student transition programs.\nStrong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProven ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse campus and community partners.\nStudent-focused approach with a strong commitment to customer service and creating positive student experiences.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively
