The role manages multiple concurrent projects associated with new building construction, major renovations, campus expansions, and enterprise technology deployments.\nWorking closely with Facilities Management, consultants, contractors, academic and administrative stakeholders, and Information Technology Services teams, the position ensures the successful delivery of network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, audio/visual technologies, digital signage, classroom technologies, and endpoint computing solutions.\nThe role is accountable for achieving project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational readiness while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and industry best practices.\nPlease note: Candidates are required to submit a cover letter outlining their experience delivering technology infrastructure projects for building construction and major capital project initiatives. \nHow you'll contribute\nProject Planning and Delivery\nLeads the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of technology projects.\nDevelops project charters, schedules, resource plans, risk registers, communication plans, and implementation strategies.\nSupports ITS project governance by maintaining visibility of project schedules, dependencies, resource requirements, risks and priorities across assigned initiatives, and escalates conflicts or constraints requiring leadership decisions\nConstruction and Capital Project Coordination\nRepresents ITS on new construction and renovation initiatives.\nCoordinates technology requirements with architects, consultants, contractors, Facilities Management, and project teams to ensure technology infrastructure is incorporated into project designs and delivered on schedule.\nTechnology Infrastructure Implementation\nCoordinates deployment of wired and wireless networking, telecommunications, audio/visual systems, digital signage, classroom technology, and staff/student computing solutions.\nEnsures technology solutions meet operational, security, and institutional standards.\nStakeholder Engagement and Communications\nBuilds relationships with academic departments, administrative business units, project sponsors, ITS teams, and external partners.\nProvides project reporting, status updates, issue management, and executive briefings.\nVendor, Consultant, and Contract Management\nCoordinates procurement activities, evaluates vendor deliverables, monitors contract performance, manages project dependencies, and ensures vendors and consultants meet project obligations.\nBudget, Risk, and Change Management\nMonitors project budgets, forecasts expenditures, manages risks and issues, coordinates formal change requests, and ensures effective governance and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.\nDocumentation, Transition, and Operational Readiness\nEnsures project documentation, project reporting, as-built records, support documentation, training materials, and operational handoff requirements are completed to support long-term sustainability of technology services.\nWhat you bring\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. \nProject Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). \n7+ years of experience in project management.\nExperience delivering enterprise technology infrastructure projects.\nExperience supporting new construction, capital projects, renovations, or facility-related technology deployments.\nExperience managing multiple concurrent projects with significant budgets and complex stakeholder groups.\nExperience working with consultants, contractors, and technology vendors.\nExperience preparing business cases, project reporting, governance materials, and executive communications.\nExperience managing project risks, budgets, schedules, and procurement activities.\nExperience in vendor and contract management, budget management, financial analysis, and negotiation.\nOne or more of the following designations would be an asset:\nPRINCE2 Practitioner\nAgile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)\nCertified Scrum Master (CSM)\nITIL Foundation or higher\nCertified Technology Specialist (CTS)\nProsci Change Management Certification\nRelevant network, telecommunications, cloud, or infrastructure certifications \nSkills:\nStrong project planning and execution, and construction project coordination skills.\nDemonstrated ability to influence, stakeholder engagement, relationship building, collaboration, and change management leadership.\nStrong risk management capabilities, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to navigate complex challenges.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving
