Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.\nOur technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.\nJob Summary:\nSalas O’Brien is seeking an Entry-Level Commissioning Engineer to implement energy consulting and commissioning services for large institutional clients.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare commissioning plans.\nReview commissioning specifications.\nReview equipment submittals and controls sequences of operation.\nDevelop pre-functional checklists and functional test procedures.\nConduct equipment installation and construction site inspections.\nPrepare and issue construction field reports.\nExecute and witness performance functional testing.\nDevelop and maintain commissioning documentation including issues log, systems manual and commissioning report.\nConduct Point to Point Testing.\nConduct Sensor Calibration Testing.\nConduct onsite QAQC equipment and controls wiring inspections.\nConduct retro-commissioning of existing buildings for NYC Local Law 87 compliance.\nSupport energy audits and detailed feasibility studies.\nProvide troubleshooting and facilities support assistance.\nQualifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Systems, Energy Management, or a closely related field, or the equivalent.\n0-2 years’ experience (HVAC Controls background preferred).\nExperience with functional performance testing on mechanical and HVAC&R systems.\nExperience performing commissioning design drawing and specification reviews.\nExperience troubleshooting facility issues and implementing corrective actions.\nLocation: New York, NY\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 USD per year.
