The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors including DOD, Federal and Private Space Industry projects. This position is offered in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead Revit production and preparation of fire protection construction documents for multiple projects.\nProduce complex floor plans, riser diagrams, schedules, details, and equipment layouts for new and renovation projects.\nWork independently with minimal oversight.\nCoordinate Revit models with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.\nDiscuss design during architect/client design review meetings and coordinate design development.\nLead clash detection and resolution coordination issues during design development.\nManage drawing deliverables, deadlines, and production priorities for assigned projects.\nPrepare design calculations and selection of equipment for building fire protection systems.\nWrite and edit fire protection specifications, engineering reports, and other technical design documentation.\nFamiliarity with applicable industry codes and standards and apply requirements to project designs.\nSupport construction administration through submittal reviews, RFIs, punch walks, field revisions, and as-built updates.\nOperational Responsibilities\nMentor junior staff and contribute to internal standards, training, and quality control procedures.\nSupport proposals, bid site visits, and business development efforts as needed.\nYou will be a great fit if:\nYou have a minimum of 5+ years of fire protection design experience\nMust have working knowledge of the ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, and NEC; with a preference for knowledge of the IBC, IMC, IECC, and IPC requirements. \nSkills/abilities:\nProficient in performing hydraulic calculations and using industry standard software such as AutoSPRINK or similar.\nProficient in Bluebeam Revu, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office\nFamiliarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines\nExcellent work ethic and attitude\nGood communication and time management skills\nInterpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work\nLocation: Merritt Island, FL/Bethesda, MD\nWork Authorization/Security Clearance\nMust be a US Citizen for Security Clearance requirements. \nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe expected base salary range for this role in Merritt Island is $80,000 - $100,000 USD per year and in Bethesda, MD is $90,000 - $110,000 USD per year.
