Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.\nOur technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.\nJob Summary: Our office in Toronto is looking for a Jr. Project Accountant to join our busy Accounting Team.\nThe Jr. Project Accountant will support billing processes, assist with cost tracking, and maintain accurate financial records. The Jr. Project Accountant will be working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and accuracy are essential. The ideal candidate will have relevant education and 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting.\nHere are the details of your duties in this role:\nUnderstand project contract terms and billing requirements to effectively set up a new project in the accounting system.\nEnter the project budget in the accounting system at the start of the project once it has been reviewed and approved by the project management team.\nPrepare draft and final invoices for billable projects\nCommunicate with Project Managers with monthly project variances and resolution of issues.\nReview all sub-consultant invoices to proper coding, ensure sub-consultant invoices included on the monthly client billing are posted in a timely manner.\nPrepare monthly bank account reconciliations\nAssist in processing of employee expenses\nPerforms other related duties as required\nQualifications and Experience:\nYour Background\nRelevant university degree or college diploma with an accounting focus\nMinimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the engineering/architectural/construction industries.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong time-management skills, the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and within a team.\nStrong attention to detail.\nExcellent computer skills, specifically with Excel.\nExperience with Deltek Vision is an asset but not required.\nLocation: Toronto, Ontario (North York)\nTravel: None\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe expected base salary range for this role is $60,000 to 70,000 CAD per year.
