The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of industrial market sectors, such as pharmaceutical, food & beverage, specialty chemical, and manufacturing environments. This position is offered in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. The candidate must reside within 30 miles of the Cincinnati, Ohio area.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for pharmaceutical, food & beverage, specialty chemical, and manufacturing projects while supporting project teams through various phases of project development from concept design through construction.\nPerform heating and cooling load calculations and energy analysis utilizing Trace3D and internally developed calculations.\nWork with senior engineers to perform field investigations, building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC & Plumbing systems to document site conditions.\nPerform selection of equipment for building HVAC systems in line with prepared calculations.\nWrite and edit project specifications.\nPrepare detailed design documents, engineering reports, and technical studies while maintaining organized and accurate project documentation.\nPerform code compliance research and communicate design considerations to senior engineers.\nCoordinate mechanical system design with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project stakeholders.\nCommunicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure alignment on design intent and project updates.\nSupport project teams in maintaining project schedules, deliverable quality, and resolution of technical issues with both internal team members and external partners.\nPerform project billable work and engineering responsibilities consistent with expected utilization goals while contributing to successful project delivery.\nFoster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively to create practical solutions to client challenges.\nAccurately record meeting notes and follow-up lists to be shared with internal and external project teams.\nQualifications and Experience:\nEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited program.\nExperience: 2-5 years of professional or co-op experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and related mechanical systems.\nCertifications: Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and hold the EIT certification.\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering tools and software including:Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite\nFamiliarity with Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD\nExperience with Trane Trace3D or other load calculation software is preferred but not required\n\nAdaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.\nInitiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.\nLocation: Cincinnati, Ohio\nTravel: Up to 25%\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
