This will require providing technical design for the creation of construction drawings and specifications, and existing system studies. Qualified candidates will meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical issues to develop effective working relationships. The project clientele includes K-12 Education, Higher Education, Commercial, Health Care, Science and Technology, municipal, and institutional facilities.\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop HVAC system designs for a given project based on scope of work and client standards/requirements.\nProvide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of market types.\nPerform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 3D, Carrier HAP, IES, and similar programs.\nConduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems.\nDevelop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings.\nWrite/edit project specifications.\nPrepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies.\nCoordinate and communicate information and progress with all other internal and external disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, architectural, and specialty consultants.\nCode compliance research.\nProvide construction administration services such as submittal review, RFI response, and site visits.\nYou will be a great fit if:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred.\nLEED accreditation and/or sustainable design experience is a plus but not required.\nYou have a minimum of 2-4-year design experience.\nYou have knowledge in the design of HVAC systems.\nYou have knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines.\nYou have an excellent work ethic and attitude.\nCoordinate work with other disciplines.\nProvide construction administration services.\nOversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.\nSkills/abilities:\nMust have strong verbal and written communications skills.\nLocation: Oklahoma City (Moore), OK\nTravel: Less than 10%\nCompensation:\nThis is a full-time position as a Salas O’Brien employee.
