In this exciting role, you will focus on the design of mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects, including HVAC systems (equipment specification, airside distribution, mechanical piping design, etc.), BMS controls, fuel storage, and plumbing. This will require providing technical leadership for the creation of construction drawings and specifications, existing system studies, and master planning efforts. The project clientele includes Data Centers, Telecom, Federal/DoD, and other highly sophisticated facilities.\nIn this role, you will:\nWork with other Mechanical Engineers, designers, and BIM Specialists for complex design and construction documents.\nCollaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to deliver a well-coordinated project. \nWork independently on smaller projects with limited direction. \nDevelop marketing, project management, proposal-writing, and project management skills. \nVisit project sites (local and across the U.S.) to gather information on existing conditions and review new work. \nConduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems\nDevelop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings\nPerform Load/Energy calculations with a variety of software as dictated by Client standards.\nWrite/edit project specifications\nPrepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies\nCode compliance research\nProvide construction administration services\nPerform QA/QC of design work\nOversee and provide guidance to junior engineers\nTake ownership and accountability of work. \nSkills:\nAbility to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. \nDemonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.\nDesire to learn and grow. \nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nLeadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit \nProficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and MS Office\nAbility to travel \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but EIT acceptable\n5+ years of experience designing HVAC systems for datacenters, telecom, or other high-tech / industrial facilities\nLocation: Seattle WA or Bozeman MT (Hybrid)\nTravel: Up to 20%\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe expected base salary range for this role is $95k to $115k USD per year.
