Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel. The Single Role EMT-B performs all work consistent with the EMT-B certification level as specified by the Oregon Health Authority. Other duties include training, public education, equipment and station maintenance, and other related assignments. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Must pass the pre-employment background check, which may include a psychological assessment, and drug test (including marijuana). Must have an Oregon Driver’s license, or the ability to obtain an Oregon license within 30 days of residency and meet the City of Salem’s driving standards. Oregon EMT-Basic or National Registry certification as an EMT-Basic and the ability to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity, or possession of EMT-B from another state and be able to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity per the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) (ORS 682 and OAR 3
