This role sits at the intersection of enterprise finance systems, integration engineering, AI-powered tooling, and cloud platforms. You will set the technical direction for Workday Finance and MuleSoft integration solutions, champion AI adoption across the engineering lifecycle, and bring cloud-native thinking (AWS/GCP) to how we design, operate, and evolve our platforms.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nDefine and govern end-to-end architecture for Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and enterprise integration platforms, setting engineering standards for quality, security, and scalability\n\nArchitect and deliver secure, scalable Workday-MuleSoft integrations across Salesforce, RevRec, Vertex, and banking platforms, driving API-led connectivity best practices and integration reliability\n\nLead adoption of AI developer tools (Cursor, Copilot, CodeWhisperer) and automation platforms, embedding AI-assisted practices into the engineering workflow and prototyping agentic AI use cases for finance\n\nDesign and operate cloud-native integration infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP, modernizing legacy patterns with event-driven, serverless, and microservices approaches aligned to cloud governance standards\n\nMentor engineers through architecture and code reviews, foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions at scale\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, including experience with Workday Financials / Accounting Center or comparable Oracle/SAP ERP platforms\n\nExperience working in complex, integration-heavy environments\n\nDemonstrated technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems\n\nExpert-level knowledge of Workday technical frameworks: Business Processes, Security, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, Workday Extend, Orchestrate, BIRT, and Document Transformation\n\nHands-on mastery of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform - Studio, ESB, API Management, CloudHub - and building scalable, secure API-led integrations\n\nSolid understanding of integration architecture: SOA, event-driven design, API design principles, REST/SOAP web services, and async messaging patterns\n\nPractical experience with AI developer productivity tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer) and enthusiasm for embedding AI into the engineering workflow\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including log analysis (Splunk or similar)\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex designs to both technical and business audiences\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices in large-scale engineering environments\n\nExperience with Agentforce or LLM/agentic AI tooling in an enterprise context\n\nKnowledge of SOX compliance, enterprise security, and finance/ERP governance frameworks\n\nExperience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, Pub/Sub, SQS, or equivalent\n\nA related technical degree\n\nWhy Join?\nThis is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful, high-impact contribution at scale - directly influencing the architecture, delivery, and long-term evolution of enterprise finance systems that power Salesforce globally.\nUnleash Your Potential\nWhen you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
