You will be given unique challenges and the tools to solve them, surrounded by exceptional colleagues, and supported by incredibly helpful partner teams.\nThis candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) operating on U.S. Soil who does not hold dual citizenship with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role.\nWhat You'll Actually Be Doing\nProduct Vulnerability Engineers are responsible for leading the response to lower/moderate severity vulnerabilities and participating in the response to high severity vulnerabilities. Successful vulnerability engineers thrive on challenge, are calm under pressure, and can think critically.\nYou're Our Person If You Have:\n5-7 years experience in information security or closely related roles, with direct experience of security vulnerability response.\n\nAbility to manage and constantly triage multiple security vulnerabilities, differentiating urgent issues from the merely important.\n\nAbility to stand back from a complex problem, logically assess the facts, and formulate a plan of action - even in the worst of situations.\n\nExperience managing common types of security vulnerabilities, e.g., OWASP Top 10.\n\nFamiliarity with common threats and issues related to security vulnerabilities, e.g., credential phishing, internal data spillage events, and inadvertent data leaks.\n\nApplication forensics skills, including collecting and analyzing code artifacts to assess potential impact if the vulnerability were to be exploited.\n\nSuperior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and clearly communicate complex scenarios to non-technical colleagues.\n\nExceptional technical basics, including networking fundamentals, common application protocols, system architecture, and basics of software development.\n\nStrong knowledge of web proxy tools and techniques.\n\nAbility to research and learn unfamiliar technologies quickly, adapting existing knowledge and processes to investigate and resolve security issues.\n\nBroad information security knowledge, including some familiarity with key regulations and standards relating to security vulnerability response.\n\nEven Better If You Have:\nPrior experience in a large and complex organization, operating across numerous locations and with a high degree of change.\n\nExperience reproducing proof of concept exploitation steps.\n\nExperience judging the priority of a vulnerability based on risk and impact.\n\nExperience securing applications and infrastructure in Amazon Web Services and similar IaaS / PaaS platforms.\n\nDeep application security knowledge, with the ability to map an application vulnerability to exploitation indications and relevant investigative techniques.\n\nRelevant incident response or information security certifications, such as GIAC GWAPT, GIAC GCIH, GIAC GPEN, GIAC GXPN, Offensive Security OSCP.\n\nThis candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship and agrees to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.Unleash Your Potential\nWhen you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
