MuleSoft’s Professional Services team works across every technology and system to deliver solutions to customers in every industry. As a Technical Architect on our Services team, you will work hands-on with our customers and partners to solve mission-critical business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. You will provide technical guidance on MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate the customer’s technical and functional requirements, and develop cost-effective solutions to provide customers with demonstrable returns. As a subject-matter expert, you will build the next generation of Agentic Architecture, design Mule applications that serve as actionable tools for autonomous AI networks and implement secure multi-agent ecosystems across cloud and hybrid environments.

You will do:

• Own the end-to-end integration architecture for the engagement: System / Process / Experience layering, canonical model, security baseline, NFRs, deployment topology.
• Drive saga / compensation patterns, eventing strategy, idempotency, observability and error envelope across all APIs in scope.
• Design API-led topologies that serve as execution tools for autonomous AI ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce Agentforce or custom orchestrators).
• Establish agentic architectural patterns for high-performance data grounding, and secure data synchronization for real-time AI decision-making.
• Lead requirements-gathering and design workshops with the customer's technical and business stakeholders. Produce architectural blueprint documents.
• Coordinate with the customer's Enterprise Architecture, Security, DevOps and SRE functions; secure design sign-off.
• Review and guide consultant-produced code and design artifacts on the engagement; enforce MuleSoft and customer standards.
• Own technical risk on the engagement: identify, escalate to the Engagement Manager, drive mitigations.
• Support the Engagement Manager on scope, change requests, and effort re-estimation when scope shifts.
• Lead performance, HA / DR, and pre-production hardening cycles.

We are looking for:

• 5+ years architecting integration solutions, of which at least 3 years specifically on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
• Active MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1 (MCIA). MCPA Level 1 strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading at least 2 end-to-end MuleSoft implementations from design through go-live.
• Hands-on experience designing deployment topologies (cloud, RTF), hybrid deployments, and CI/CD pipelines into Anypoint.
• Demonstrable experience with HA, fault tolerance, performance testing and tuning at enterprise scale.
• Confident running technical workshops with C-level and Enterprise Architect audiences.
• Self-sufficient on engagement governance.

Nice to have:

• Deep experience with at least one additional integration / API-management platform (Apigee, IBM, Boomi, TIBCO, Oracle Fusion, Kong) for portfolio context.
• Conceptual or hands-on experience architectural design involving MuleSoft Einstein AI Connector, MuleSoft AI Chain (MAC), MuleSoft Agent Fabric or integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock).
• Industry-vertical exposure (telco, financial services, healthcare, public sector, retail) and familiarity with vertical reference models where applicable.
• Event-driven and streaming architectures (Anypoint MQ, Kafka, Solace).
• MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1 or 2
• Experience standing up Anypoint Platform organizations from scratch (Private Spaces, RBAC, IdP federation).
• TOGAF or equivalent EA framework familiarity.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Agentforce configurations and driving external actions via MuleSoft event streams.
• Hands-on experience building generative integration applications with MuleSoft Vibes or Anypoint Code Builder's natural language capabilities.

Business sense:

• Ability to translate complex technical architectures and MuleSoft topics into clear, high-level business value.
• Results-oriented with a strong collaborative mindset, high self-motivation, and a track record of proactive networking.
• Working English (spoken, written); additional regional languages where the engagement requires.
• Readiness to travel (10-25%) regionally or internationally as required by the engagement
• Experience working in international, cross-functional teams and multicultural environments is a plus.
