This research assistant role will contribute PLAN-B research on understanding the mechanisms of light and noise pollution impact on terrestrial biodiversity and ecosystem services. The role requires an individual with demonstrable expertise in the development of computer vision techniques for wildlife research and in the development of pollution impact assessment approaches/guidance to support regulatory decision-making.\nApplicants should be aware that this advert may close early if we receive a high volume of applications\nKey Responsibilities\nDeveloping impact assessment models and guidance documents to support regulatory decision-making for light and noise pollution impacts on wildlife \nDeveloping computer vision methods for analysing organism activity in field and laboratory studies. \nPlanning and coordination and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement activities, including participant recruitment, workshop facilitation, and communication with external stakeholders. \nStructured literature review and database development on light and noise pollution impacts on wildlife. \nCollection, management and analysis of research data generated through research activities. \nAbout the Faculty of Science Engineering and Environment\nThe Faculty of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) is a centre of discovery and innovation.
