This is not a pure software role - the candidate will use oscilloscopes, read schematics, and debug board-level issues alongside writing C code.\nWhat you'll do:\nYou'll be part of our growing Software Engineering team by building and scaling our web-based telemetry and diagnostics platform-our window into the performance of next-generation motor controllers and electromechanical systems.\nYou'll work with a passionate team of firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to build tools that bridge embedded systems with intuitive, real-time interfaces.\nDevelop and scale our web application\nCreate intuitive data visualizations for real-time and historical motor telemetry\nDesign and maintain scalable backend APIs and data pipelines to support diagnostics and remote logging features\nWork closely with embedded engineers to define protocols and telemetry schema\nEnsure our tools are robust, responsive, and easy to use across devices and platforms\nOwn features end-to-end-from concept and design to deployment and ongoing iteration\nCollaborate with designers to bring clean and thoughtful UI/UX to life\nDrive the software development process by contributing to system architecture, documentation, and requirements\nPartner with mechanical and hardware engineers to design and implement system-level qualification and development tests\nArchitect and deploy test fixtures and automated test infrastructure\nDevelop data analysis pipelines and pass/fail criteria for hardware validation\nWhat you need:\nBS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience\n2+ years as a software engineer with frontend and backend experience, ideally in a product-focused environment\nStrong experience with TypeScript and React\nExperience with Electron desktop application development\nExperience with Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions)\nSolid backend experience using Node.js or Python; Python experience for test scripting and data analysis is a plus\nExperience designing and building REST or WebSocket APIs\nExperience working with real-time data, time-series databases, or\nWebSocket streams\nFamiliarity with Figma and experience collaborating closely with designers\nStrong UX instincts and a passion for building clean, usable interfaces\nA bias for action-you like to take ownership and move fas\nNice to haves:\nExperience building UI dashboards for hardware systems\nExperience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or Vite\nFamiliarity with WebHID/WebUSB or binary protocol communication with hardware devices\nA hacker's mindset: curious, resourceful, and always looking to improve tools\nWhat we have to offer:\nWe are not just building components.
