This position is responsible for managing statutory financial reporting and compliance for APAC entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. The role oversees external vendors, coordinates statutory audits, and works closely with Tax teams on corporate tax and VAT filings.\nThis a 6-month contract role based in Singapore.\nJob Responsibilities:\nResponsible for achieving timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities\nBuild relationships and manage service levels with key external vendors supporting the preparation of financial statements and review the work of our outsourced partners\nCoordinate and manage the audit process with our statutory auditors\nWork closely with Tax Teams for the filing of corporate tax and VAT returns\nPrepare and /or review Tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close for assigned APAC entities\nLead projects to optimize and transform the Statutory Compliance process by analyzing areas of opportunities and designing, testing and roll-out of new tools and processes\nTrack and coordinate activities, status and planning for the APAC statutory audits by working closely with the Statutory Operations team\nCollaborate with cross functional partners within and outside Finance to execute Accounting Team Objectives, providing support to finance management where required including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects\nPrimary contract administrator within International Statutory Operations team\nCoordinate end to end StatOps vendor contracting and billing processes, triaging and escalating queries or issues as they arise, and tracking through to resolution.\nContribute to ongoing process improvement for the benefit of the team\nAssists in preparing progress and planning documentation when necessary\nAttends all client and staff meetings pertaining to project\nQualifications:\nBachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline\nRecognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)\n8+ years relevant experience with a fast-growing, multinational company or professional services (i.e. Big Four)\nStrong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP\nAble to operate with a high degree of autonomy\nExperience implementing and improving business processes and systems\nHighly collaborative, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being comfortable with navigating change\nSuperb
