IT Data Architect - Azure | Sandton (On-site)

A leader in alternative risk and insurance solutions, is looking for a senior Data Architect to design and drive modern, enterprise-scale Azure data platforms.

What you’ll do:

Architect and deliver scalable Azure data platforms (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, SQL)
Lead data modernisation from legacy to cloud
Enable analytics & BI (Power BI) across the business

Non-negotiable:

Strong data modelling experience (star/snowflake, semantic layers)
Proven Databricks experience (hands-on)
Experience managing large-scale data environments / multiple data lakes
Strong focus on data quality frameworks and monitoring
7+ years in enterprise data architecture

Tech stack:

Azure (SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory), Databricks, Power BI, CI/CD, Terraform
