Assists with service writing as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications\nTwo (2) years of experience in a closely related\nA valid driver’s license accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire in order to operate a County vehicle.\nUST Class A/B Fuel operator certification at time of hire, or must obtain within 90 \nBackground check\nDue to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements\nMust receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. The omission of specific duties and responsibilities will not preclude it from the position.\nApplicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.\nMonitors inventory by tracking daily fuel levels, scheduling bulk deliveries, and reconciling fuel data.\nMaintains fuel systems by coordinating inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fuel infrastructure.\nEnsures compliance with environmental laws governing underground and aboveground storage tanks.\nMaintains testing and compliance records.\nProvides throughput tracking reports.\nIssues fuel cards to personnel and manages PIN assignments.\nMaintains fuel card asset assignment accuracy.\nReviews and maintains fuel transaction reports.\nFacilitates the County vehicle accident process by receiving accident reports and collecting driver statements, police reports, and scene photographs.\nCoordinates vehicle repairs by serving as a liaison with commercial body shops to obtain damage estimates.\nCoordinates insurance claims by submitting required documentation to Risk Management or insurance providers.\nTracks downtime by monitoring repair progress to return assets to service in a timely manner.\nCollects retired, non-licensed agency assets and equipment, including tools, tires, accessories, electronics, and furniture.\nEvaluates the condition of items to determine whether they should be reallocated, auctioned, or scrapped.\nOrganizes public auctions by listing surplus items on government auction platforms.\nDocuments disposal and maintains accurate audit logs for all disposed public property.\nAssists with physical audits of assigned vehicles.\nCoordinates motor pool allocations.\nMaintains lists of take-home vehicles.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)\nKnowledge of:\nBasic office equipment and computers\nWorking knowledge of essential word processing and spreadsheet applications\nAutomotive repair facility operations\nGovernment fuel site operations\nInventory control\nVehicle sublet repairs\n\nSkills and Abilities to:\nIdentify potential hazards and respond appropriately\nSolve problems utilizing critical thinking and available resources\nCommunicate clearly verbally and in writing\nCollaborate in a team environment\n\nWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements\nWork is typically performed in a combination of environments, including a general office setting, outdoors, warehouses, and shop locations.
