About the Role

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating visually impactful, on-brand content for our banking client’s social and paid media platforms. This includes static posts, motion graphics, stories, reels, carousels, templates, and interactive content. The role combines strong visual storytelling with an understanding of platform mechanics, creating content that grabs attention, builds connection, and drives engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Creative asset design and motion content

• Design platform-optimised assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube
• Create visuals that are thumb-stopping, mobile-first, and performance-driven
• Design and animate motion graphics for stories, reels, and video intros/outros
• Ensure all outputs align with the brand’s visual identity and content guidelines

Trend tracking and reactive content

• Translate trending formats into the brand’s voice and visual language
• Adapt designs rapidly in response to cultural moments, seasonal relevance, and platform opportunities
• Participate in creative ideation and contribute to campaign design direction

Template development and consistency

• Build and maintain reusable design templates for stories, highlights, posts, and reels
• Ensure brand consistency across formats while adapting to platform dynamics
• Optimise workflows to enable quick turnaround for high-volume content

Collaboration and delivery

• Work closely with copywriters, social strategists, and video editors to align visual and verbal messaging
• Manage time effectively across multiple briefs and rapid content cycles

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field

Experience and Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in social media design or digital content creation
• Strong portfolio of paid media and social-first work, including motion content
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma

Skills

• Strong design sense and attention to detail
• Confident working with brand systems in fast-paced environments
• Motion design and animation skills a strong advantage
• Essential: Creativity, agility, platform awareness, teamwork
• Desirable: Experience using content scheduling platforms, social media metrics tools
