You’ll work across the full data lifecycle, from ingesting high-volume streaming data through to designing reliable warehouse models and enabling self-service analytics.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working with distributed systems, and building production-ready data infrastructure that is relied upon across the business.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, build and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.\nOwn production data pipelines from development through to monitoring, optimisation and support.\nBuild reliable datasets that enable analytics, reporting, AI and machine learning initiatives.\nDesign and optimise data models within modern data warehouse environments.\nDevelop and maintain streaming data solutions using Kafka or similar technologies.\nWork with large-scale, high-volume datasets, ensuring quality, accuracy and performance.\nImplement robust testing, monitoring and data quality processes.\nCollaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver trusted data solutions.\nContribute to the architecture and technical direction of the company’s data platform.\nLeverage automation and AI where appropriate to improve engineering efficiency and platform scalability.\nRequired Experience:\n8+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer building production-grade data platforms.\nStrong Python and SQL development skills.\nExperience building both batch and streaming data pipelines.\nHands-on experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming technologies.\nStrong knowledge of data modelling and modern data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, ClickHouse, BigQuery or Redshift.\nExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).\nFamiliarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow and transformation frameworks such as dbt.\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, scalability and data reliability.\nExperience implementing data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.\nDesirable Experience:\nTime-series databases (TimescaleDB or similar).\nIoT, telematics or sensor-generated data.\nClickHouse.\nGeospatial data and PostGIS.\nEvent sourcing or state reconstruction.\nAI-assisted or agentic data engineering.\nMulti-tenant SaaS platforms.\nStartup or high-growth technology
