We are looking for an engineer who can design and build production-grade APIs, event flows, messaging patterns and integration services while solving the challenges that come with connecting complex enterprise systems.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing: Design and implement robust system-to-system integrations across enterprise platforms.\nBuild and consume REST, OData, SOAP and enterprise APIs.\nDevelop asynchronous integrations using messaging and event-driven architectures.\nDesign integration patterns supporting complex and long-running enterprise workflows.\nDefine API contracts and integration standards alongside application and platform engineering teams.\nBuild transformations between different enterprise data models and establish canonical schemas where appropriate.\nEngineer resilient integrations using retries, timeout handling, idempotency, reconciliation and dead-letter processing.\nDesign solutions capable of safely handling partial failures and unavailable downstream systems.\nImplement OAuth2, service identities, certificates and enterprise authentication/authorisation patterns.\nApply API versioning, lifecycle management and API gateway standards.\nMaintain auditability, traceability and appropriate handling of sensitive information across system boundaries.\nBuild logging, monitoring and alerting to ensure integrations are observable and supportable in production.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues spanning multiple enterprise systems.\nSupport integration testing, UAT, deployment and production rollout. What We’re Looking For\nYou will have 6+ years of experience in enterprise integration or backend engineering, with strong hands-on experience designing and implementing APIs and integration services. You should bring strong knowledge of REST, JSON and HTTP, alongside experience working with SOAP/XML and legacy enterprise integrations.
