You will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA team members to support and stabilize an internal project while strengthening the existing automation framework.\nResponsibilities Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases across UI, API, database validation, and user acceptance testing.\nWork hands-on with Playwright to support and enhance existing automation frameworks.\nCreate clear test cases, including BDD-style scenarios, based on user stories and acceptance criteria.\nPerform API testing and validation using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.\nWrite and execute SQL queries to support data validation and testing activities.\nCollaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA team members in a Kanban delivery environment.\nSupport CI/CD testing practices and contribute to automation execution within release pipelines.\nIdentify testing gaps, raise defects clearly, and help improve overall product quality.\nWork independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a senior QA team. Qualifications Strong hands-on experience in Playwright within a production environment.\nSolid experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.\nExperience in both UI automation and API testing.\nWorking knowledge of SQL for database validation and test verification.\nStrong understanding of testing types including functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, API, UI, and database testing.\nAbility to create structured test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.\nExperience working in Agile environments; Kanban experience is a plus.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work independently with Product and Engineering teams.\nMust be based in Malaysia and able to start in June or on short notice. Nice-to-Have Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and similar.\nExperience with Postman, RestAssured, or API automation frameworks.\nBasic familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools or using AI to generate, triage, or document test cases.\nPrior experience in product, SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, or platform engineering environments.
