And we need the right people to run it.\nThe Dock Sortation Lead owns the daily sortation operation at our Chamblee location: packages in, team managed, every SLA hit, every driver handed off clean. Your job is to run the dock: every package sorted, every SLA hit, and your team executing at standard from the moment the first pallet arrives.\nThis role has a clear scorecard, real autonomy, and direct impact you can measure every morning. If you thrive in fast, high-accountability environments, this is your seat.\nWHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE\nYour shift starts around 1:00am. Pallets arrive, packages get scanned and sorted into batches, and your team needs to be ready before the first driver shows up. You're on the floor the whole time: coaching throughput, catching errors before they become SLA misses, and making sure every handoff is clean. After dispatch, you submit your daily ops report and handle any exceptions or escalations.\nWHAT YOU WILL OWN\nShift and sortation operations\nRun the end-to-end sortation process: pallets in, packages scanned and sorted, batches staged, drivers dispatched\nStay on the floor and hands-on when volume or staffing needs it\nTeam leadership\nManage 2 to 7 Dock Sortation Specialists depending on volume\nCoach throughput (225 scans/person/hour) and Sort App usage in real time\nGet every team member trained and Sort App certified before they touch a package\nHold standards on the floor, not after the shift ends\nSLA and quality compliance\nOwn site performance against all SLAs: delivery, loss rate, sort completion, and dispatch targets\nFlag risks early enough to fix them, not after they become misses\nDriver coordination and exception handling\nVerify Runner identity, match to batches, confirm in Sort App - you're the last check before packages leave\nHandle damaged packages and escalate missing ones immediately\nRespond to partner communications within 30 minutes during operational hours\nReporting and compliance\nSubmit a complete daily ops report every shift: volume, device count, truck times, inventory, escalations\nMaintain camera coverage and corporate device discipline at all times - zero unauthorized usage\nHOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS\n100% of packages sorted by 5:00am local time\n99.5% of packages dispatched by 08:00am\nWarehouse On-Time Delivery at 99.9%\nLoss rate below 0.02% of scanned packages\nDaily ops report submitted completely and on time, every shift\nTeam fully trained and Sort App certified before handling packages\nZero unauthorized device usage or credential sharing\nWHO THRIVES HERE\nYou're energized by early mornings and a fast floor, not worn down by them\nYou hold yourself and your team to high standards and earn trust doing it\nYou stay calm and decisive at 4:00am when things get hectic\nYou track details and follow up without being reminded\nYou take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks\nYou communicate clearly under time pressure, in writing and on the floor\nWHAT YOU BRING\nComfortable using AI tools \n1 to 3+ years leading a team in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment\nExperience with scanning, sortation, or distribution workflows\nFamiliar with SLA-driven operations where accuracy and speed both matter\nAvailable for early-morning shifts, 7-day rotation\nWHAT WE OFFER\nMedical coverage, 100% covered for two Aetna plans, or a low premium for PPO\nDental and vision covered at 100%\n401K plan options\nCompany-paid long-term and short-term disability and life insurance\nPaid holidays, vacation time, sick time, and paid parental leave\nLearning and professional development budget\nHOW WE WORK WITH AI\nAI is part of how we work at Saltbox.
