Critical Facilities Engineers are also responsible for site rounds and using event monitoring and management systems to provide notifications and escalations to stakeholders during service outages.\nThis position is onsite in Cheyenne, Wy\nWork Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday- 8 and 12 hours shifts availble\nResponsibilities:\nOperate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. \nComplete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments requiring the skill and direction of several engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades. \nConduct periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, maintain mechanical equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions. \nRapid response, investigation, and management of indoor emergency situations and air quality complaints \nHave a complete working knowledge of creating, closing, and tracking \"work requests\" (WR). Initiate or respond to work orders, follow-up and verify completion of work. \nMonitor performance/note deficiencies of service contractors and recommend changes as necessary \nPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. \nSupports the delivery of data center services including colocation, telecommunications services, and deployment of additional services to customers and internal business systems. \nActs as an operational contact for data center customers, vendors, and carriers as it relates to colocation, connectivity, and network products and services. \nCarries out tasks under the direction of the Network/Engineering Infrastructure Manager and IT Manager necessary to support internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems. \nConducts activities inside IT and telecommunications rooms or cabinets such as the installation of IT and network hardware, making or running patch cables, and verifying or testing cable paths. \nCoordinates and oversees access to and work within the facility with third-party contractors, vendors, and carriers related to structured cabling installation, circuit delivery and equipment installations in IT and telecommunications rooms and customer space. \nSupports offsite points-of-presence at remote locations and aids in operations, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and tasks related to the delivery and support of network services. \nQualifications:\nA minimum of 0-2 years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment, building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems. \nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. \nKnowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, and CRAC units. \nGood observation skills and problem-solving ability. \nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs. \nAbility to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment \nAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environments \nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks \nBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly \nAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies. \nGood hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors \nClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses \nAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables \nAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility \nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow \nCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection \nPossession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required \nIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you.
