As a result of this growth, we are looking to recruit and develop a Data Centre Facilities Engineer-Team Lead.\nAs a Data Center Team Lead, you’ll be the boots-on-the-ground leader, responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure support in a mission-critical environment.\nThis role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic settings, leads by example, and is passionate about developing people while maintaining operational excellence.\nThis role will be a based out of the Nuremberg location and have responsibility for 2 other sites. Travel will be required as per business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperational Oversight: Ensure the timely and proper execution of activities for the datacenter’s equipment, adhering to all applicable processes and procedures.\nTeam Management: Manage working schedules for junior engineers, ensuring adequate coverage and shift balance.\nDocumentation: Maintain and organize all documentation related to the team’s roles and responsibilities.\nTraining: Provide, oversee, and track training programs to ensure the continuous development of junior engineers.\nIncident Reporting: Monitor and report incidents following established protocols and standards.\nCommunication: Keep local management informed about activities, incidents, and significant updates.\nStakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and datacenter management to align on goals and priorities.\nPerformance Management: Conduct regular documented one-on-one meetings with team members to set, monitor, and track goals.\nEmergency Coverage: Be available to cover shifts during emergencies if required.\nRequirements:\nExperience: Proven work experience in a datacenter or other critical environment.\nLeadership: Demonstrated management experience, preferably with distributed or shift-based teams.\nSkills: Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral) in both German and English.\nTechnical Aptitude: Willingness to learn datacenter technical principles and operations.\nTechnical Proficiency: Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.\nInterpersonal Skills: A team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and mentoring abilities\nThe role is a full-time position, and your base salary will be up to €65,000.00 based on experience.
