This role leads and develops the technical team, coordinates work across shifts and vendors, and acts as an escalation point for complex technical issues and customer requests. The Lead will support the local site team on multiple daily (technical) duties in the datacenter and office. This position reports to the Chief Engineer.\nThis position is located in New Albany, OH\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday | Salary: $87,000\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnsure proper maintenance of critical data center equipment such as Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), HVAC systems, backup power generators, and physical security systems.\nIdentify, report and resolve technical issues identified within the Data Center categorized as whether related to hardware or software systems.\nMonitor and evaluate data center performance, including power consumption, ambient temperature and other critical factors affecting data center operation.\nKeep technical documentation of the data center up-to-date and accessible to include user manuals, cabling diagrams, and maintenance records.\nMonitor Ticket queues and ensure all customer tickets and respond to within required SLA times.\nStay abreast of latest technological trends and be prepared to update and upgrade the data center to ensure optimal operation.\nPerform all tasks of Data Center Shift Technician, including critical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and data center performance oversight.\nLead and train the data center technical team, ensuring all members possess necessary skills and experience to perform tasks efficiently.\nPlan and schedule technical work, ensuring deadlines are met and the team operates in an efficient manner.\nCommunicate effectively with team members, vendors and end customers to receive and provide status updates to ensure all stakeholders are informed through completion of Work Order Request.\nManage data center resources and personnel to effectively meet data center objectives.\nSupervise vendors and contractors working in the data center, ensuring compliance and security standards.\nContinuously evaluate the data center for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.\nProvide leadership and guidance to lower-level staff through technical challenges while maintaining a positive and productive work environment\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n5 years of data center experience, operations, and maintenance of critical facilities. \nLeadership, supervisory, or management experiencein data center and/or critical facilities environment. \nKnowledge of critical infrastructure - to include MV switchboards, Transformers, Generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, RPPs.\nAbility to read and assess single line diagrams, technical manuals and engineering plans. \nExperience carrying out MOP/EOP/SOP.\nStrong communications, both written and verbal, coordinating with local and regional teams.\nCommitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables. \nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.\nAbility to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from team.\nStrong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can cover all gamut of tasks required to ‘getting a job done.’\nStrong attention to detail\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50lbs.\nAbility to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment\nAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environments\nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks\nBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly\nAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies. \nGood hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors\nClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses\nAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables\nAbility to work in environments with a wide variety of temperatures inside a facility\nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow\nCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection\nPossession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required\nIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you.
