As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Site Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.\nData Center Site Manager:\nThe Data Center Site Manager, (DCSM) is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.\nThe DCSM serves as an expert technical resource reporting to the Regional Director and interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and any third-party vendors. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.\nResponsibilities: \nEmpowering a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all aspect of datacenter activities \nLeading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors at a data center site and their ongoing talent development \nFinancial administration of site activities and staff members, tracking budgets, payments and pay cycles. \nManaging and overseeing datacenter site services, resources, and deployment across the data center for the client. \nCollaborating and coordinating with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels \nAnalyzing production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational stability \nInitiate and establish quality standards for the Datacenter teams and manage those initiatives through to completion \nLearn, live, and coach the Salute culture and values. Lead through change and challenge by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success \nOperate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. \nComplete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments requiring the skill and direction of several engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades \nConduct periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, maintain mechanical equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions \nRapid response, investigation, and management of indoor emergency situations and air quality complaints \nHave a complete working knowledge on creating, closing, and tracking \"work requests\" (WR). Initiate or respond to work orders, follow-up and verify completion of work \nMonitor performance/note deficiencies of service contractors and recommend changes as necessary \nManaging the workload across all shifts and resources, ensuring a balanced approach to work activity, tasks and the accomplishment of results and outcomes. \nIn collaboration with the Human Resources manager, performing the functions and planning regarding shift cycles, people and resource deployment, payment, salaries, and other related staff activities, as they may arise \nPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management \nAdditional responsibilities will include but not limited to:\nManage multiple complex projects simultaneously \nEstimate cost of client installations \nAnalyze and interpret complex project documents such as AutoCAD and Visio \nAnalyze and propose solutions with limited information \nInterpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form \nAdvanced analytical and quantitative skills \nExcellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively respond to sensitive and complex issues \nThe ability to create effective presentations and communicate with both internal and external customers \nA demonstrated commitment to customer service for both coworkers and customers \nExperience developing operating and maintenance standards and project tracking/management documents \nKnowledge of applicable laws and ordinances in performing data, communications, and MEP projects \nThe skill to provide oversight to team members for guidance and coaching \nExperience working well under pressure with a proactive approach \nExcellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to accept new ideas and procedures \nExperience using Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create presentations and reports \nEnhance existing skill sets \nDirect operations, technical and engineering personnel to ensure established processes and procedures are followed \nPerform, or oversee and manage the periodic audits of maintenance MOPs, equipment SOPs and Emergency Operator Procedures (EOPs) to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance with company standards and industry best practice \nPerform periodic audits of site Change Management activity, to ensure accuracy of information and quality of supporting documentation \nCollect and report operating metrics for sites to track and monitor site performance and efficiency \nCoordinate major activities among sites and track major outstanding issues to resolution \nProvide input for and drive the development of client improvement solutions to include accurate descriptions, savings potential, and cost estimates \nDevelop operating standards, processes, and procedures, rules, and regulations \nReview drawings and perform site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and control systems and facility operational characteristics \nManage relationships with customer, property management and internal teams and external stakeholders, where applicable and required. \nQualifications:\nWith a degree, a minimum of 2+ years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment, building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems \nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. \nKnowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units. \nGood observation skills and problem-solving ability. \nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs. \nAbility to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment \nAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environments \nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks \nBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly \nAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies. \nGood hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors \nClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses \nAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables \nAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility \nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow \nCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection \nPossession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required \nSite Location: We operate a 24-hour facility where work hours (shifts) are assigned as needed to ensure job functions are performed satisfactorily, compliance is maintained, and the company operates efficiently.
