As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support our Dutch operations and wider EMEA portfolio.\nIn this role, you will act as a hands-on EHS professional, working closely with operational teams, contractors, and clients to ensure safe working practices across live data centre environments. You will support compliance with Dutch health & safety legislation (Arbowet), Salute internal standards, and relevant EU requirements, while travelling across the EU to support audits, site visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n Based in the Netherlands, on a hybrid capacity (2* days per week onsite near Schiphol airport) supporting both local and regional operations.\nFluent in Dutch and English(spoken and written).\nOpportunity to grow within a fast-paced, international mission-critical organisation.\nKey Responsibilities\nHealth & Safety Management\nConduct task-based risk assessments and support the RI&E process, ensuring hazards are identified, controlled, and documented.\nSupport operational teams to maintain compliance with Dutch EHS legislation, client requirements, and Salute policies.\nActively promote a strong safety culture across employees, vendors, and contractors.\nSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 45003.\nIncident Prevention & Investigation\nInvestigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.\nMaintain accurate records of incidents, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.\nTrack trends and provide clear reports and recommendations to management.\nData Centre & High-Risk Activities\nConduct regular site inspections in live data centre environments, including electrical rooms, plant areas, and contractor work zones.\nSupport permit-to-work systems, including electrical safety, LOTO, confined spaces, and contractor controls.\nProvide guidance on electrical safety, critical infrastructure protection, and safe systems of work.\nIdentify security or safety-related concerns impacting people or client infrastructure and report appropriately.\nTraining & Engagement\nDeliver EHS training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors, either directly or via approved third-party providers.\nDevelop and maintain EHS training materials, procedures, and guidance documents.\nChair or support safety meetings and site safety briefings.\nEmergency Preparedness\nSupport the development, implementation, and testing of emergency response plans.\nCoordinate and participate in emergency drills with site teams and external responders.\nEnsure first aid, fire safety, and emergency arrangements remain compliant and effective.\nAudit & Continuous Improvement\nSupport and conduct internal EHS audits and site compliance inspections.\nAssist with client, regulatory, and certification audits as required.\nMonitor changes in country-specific legislation and support implementation across sites.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong working knowledge of Dutch health & safety legislation (Arbowet).\nPractical experience with RI&E, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.\nExperience working in data centres, mission-critical environments, or other high-risk industries.\nAbility to work independently across multiple sites and countries.\nComfortable operating in live, operational environments.\nQualifications & Experience\nEssential\nMVK qualification (or actively studying HVK),or NEBOSH General Certificate / Diploma.\n2-3 years’ experience in an EHS advisory or officer role.\nExperience with Arbowet, RI&E, and contractor safety management.\nFluent in Dutch and English(spoken and written).\nWillingness and ability to travel regularly across the EU.\nDesirable\nExperience in a data centre or mission-critical environment.\nElectrical safety experience.\nISO 45001 / ISO 45003 knowledge or implementation experience.\nFirst Aid and Fire Marshal certification.\nAdditional European language skills.\n What you’ll get from us:\nHere, at Salute, we value our people and take great pride providing not just a job but fantastic career opportunities.
