Specific areas of expertise include data center services, preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and support of IT systems, network services, business-critical processes, and procedures. Work requires strong formal conduct of operations skills, technical expertise, team accountability, and flawless execution of work activities commensurate with a high-risk critical environment and associated expectations for exceptional customer satisfaction and confidence.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsures success in the execution of all operation, maintenance, and modification of all critical environment building systems tasks assigned, including mechanical (HVAC, computer room air conditioners, chillers, and plumbing), electrical (UPS, DC battery systems, PDU, generators, transfer switches, and switchgear), cabling (data and voice, broadband), fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV).\nCompletes planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments requiring the skill and direction of several engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades.\nEnsures completion of periodic building systems inspections, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution systems, and maintains mechanical equipment rooms to verify clean and safe conditions.\nProvides rapid response, investigation, and management of indoor emergency situations and air quality complaints.\nCreates, closes, and tracks \"work requests\" (WR). Initiates or responds to work orders, follows up, and verifies completion of work.\nMonitors performance and notes deficiencies of service contractors and recommends changes as necessary.\nDelivers data center services including colocation, telecommunications services, and deployment of additional services to customers and internal business systems.\nActs as a focal point to data center customers, vendors, and carriers as it relates to colocation, connectivity, and network products and services.\nSupports internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems.\nPerforms activities inside IT and telecommunications rooms or cabinets such as the installation of IT and network hardware, making or running patch cables, and verifying or testing cable paths.\nCoordinates and oversees access to and work within the facility with third-party contractors, vendors, and carriers related to structured cabling installation, circuit delivery, and equipment installations in IT and telecommunications rooms and customer space.\nProvides support to offsite points-of-presence at remote locations and aids in operations, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and tasks related to the delivery and support of network services.\nPerforms other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).\nSuperior observation and problem-solving skills.\nDriver’s License\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.\nAbility to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment\nAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environments\nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks\nBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly\nAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.\nGood hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors\nClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses\nAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables\nAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility\nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow\nCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection\nPossession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required\nIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you.
