The role serves as the site's highest technical authority, providing\nexpert consultation, approving maintenance procedures, supporting incident response, and\npartnering with customer engineering to maximize uptime, reliability, and efficiency.\nTechnical Leadership\nServe as the senior technical authority for all critical infrastructure systems.\nAdvise the Director and CFM on engineering strategy, reliability, and technical risk.\nProvide 24/7 technical consultation during major incidents and outages.\nSupport commissioning, expansions, and operational readiness.\nOperational Readiness & Maintenance Governance\nOwn the site's Maintenance Readiness Program, ensuring all planned maintenance activities\nare fully prepared for safe and successful execution.\nLead daily and weekly maintenance readiness reviews with Operations, Planning, Customer\nEngineering, and Vendors.\nVerifying all work packages include approved procedures, outage requests, permits, risk\nassessments, switching plans, required documentation, and contingency plans.\nEnsure qualified personnel, vendors, tools, calibrated test equipment, spare parts, materials,\nand support equipment are available prior to scheduled work.\nPartner with the Critical Facilities Manager to resolve schedule conflicts, resource\nconstraints, and operational risks.\nValidate CMMS work package quality and readiness before maintenance execution.\nMonitor maintenance execution performance and drive continuous improvement through\npost-work reviews and lessons learned.\nEngineering Governance\nFinal technical approver for SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and maintenance procedures.\nOversee development and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.\nReview and approve elevated-risk maintenance activities.\nEnsure engineering documentation accuracy and standardization.\nMaintenance Strategy & Reliability\nDevelop equipment maintenance scopes and inspection frequencies.\nLead creation of the site's 52-week maintenance schedule.\nOptimize PM, PdM, CBM, and RCM programs.\nImprove equipment reliability and lifecycle performance.\nTraining & Technical Development\nPartner with Training leadership to develop the CFE training and qualification program.\nDevelop technical standards and qualification requirements.\nDeliver advanced technical instruction and mentor engineers.\nIncident Response & RCA\nLead technical support during SEV events.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nValidate mitigation strategies.\nCritical Systems Excellence\nOptimize system reliability and performance.\nOversee quality of maintenance on mechanical systems.\nManage technical vendor relationships.\nDevelop mechanical operating standards.\nEnergy & Continuous Improvement\nMonitor PUE and identify energy-saving initiatives.\nLead engineering optimization projects.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.\n12+ years in mission-critical engineering.\nExpert knowledge of electrical, mechanical, EPMS/BMS, Fire Life Safety and reliability\nengineering.\nDesired\n15+ years in hyperscale data centers.\nExperience supporting Microsoft, AWS, Google, Meta, or Oracle.\nPE, CMRP or equivalent certification\nIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location.
