Develop team spirit and co-operation. \nDevelop our client relationships and brand within the UK and EMEA. \nConsistently meet monthly and annual budgets at a team level, support with MEP budget planning and continuously look for ways to improve performance. \nWork with the directors and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives in the team and across the wider business. \nDrive profitable and sustainable work-winning and maintain up-to-date forecasting for the team and input to the wider MEP service delivery. \nOversee team performance including work pipeline, finance, and operational management. \nWork with clients, developers, contractors and architects to build relationships and secure 2bm Salute’s position as the engineer of choice in the industry. \nBeing the client’s key point of contact. \nUnderstand the need to provide excellent client care & the opportunities to develop additional business for the team. \nWork in a joint leadership capacity within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) discipline team, providing design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach on a wide range of Data Centre projects.\nAble to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of their discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.\nAble to work under the clear direction of the client and interpret the needs of the project as a whole to meet the full delivery needs.\nSupervise the completion of detailed designs and supervise the work of others in this function.\nConsider the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline and lead the overall feasibility study for the project.\nTake responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed and performance specification for the discipline subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.\nReviewing design programmes and ensuring that sufficient resource is available to complete the works\nAs an Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will:\nLead electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.\nAct as Project Leader across multidisciplinary teams.\nDevelop trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders.\nSupport business development and identify opportunities for future work.\nMentor and develop engineers as the team continues to grow.\nEnsure projects are delivered to the highest technical and commercial standards.\nPlay an active role in the continued growth of the design & build team.\nYour Team\n\nYou will be based in our award-winning Nottingham office\nThe team will be supported by local, regional and international experts.\n2bm Salute care about your career development and offer mentorship and training aligned with your aspirations.\nWhat We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…\n An Senior Electrical Project Managerin the Data Centres (DC) sector must exhibit a unique blend of technical prowess, leadership, and strategic insight. Key attributes include:\nEither has Chartership through CIBSE/IET/ Engineering Council or open to working towards this. \nElectrical Engineering Expertise: A profound understanding of Electrical systems. This design expertise ensures the efficient and reliable operation of data centre infrastructure. \nInnovative Problem-Solving: The ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex Electrical challenges is essential. This includes optimising cooling systems to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. \nLeadership and Team Management: Leadership skills are necessary to guide and inspire a team of engineers and technicians. \nStrategic Vision: The role requires a forward-thinking approach to anticipate Data Centre industry trends and challenges. Strategic planning and the ability to align electrical engineering initiatives with business goals are vital for long-term success. \nProject Management: Proficiency in project management is essential to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical engineering projects. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring quality standards are met. \nCommunication Skills: Have an ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively; to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present ideas to senior management. \nAdaptability: The DC sector is rapidly evolving, and a Electrical Associate Directormust be adaptable to new technologies, industry standards, and changing business needs. \nCustomer Focus: Understanding and addressing the needs of clients and end-users is critical. An Electrical Associate Director should prioritise customer satisfaction and ensure that electrical systems meet or exceed expectations. \nA proficient understanding of how to operate Microsoft Office and AutoCAD would be preferable.\nCandidates with NICEIC Qualifications, Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification, NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services, AM2 Assessment, would be desirable\nProject Manager level is preferred; however, we're equally keen to hear from ambitious Principal Engineers who have already established themselves as trusted client advisers and are looking for the opportunity to step into a broader leadership role.\nYou'll ideally have:\nSignificant consultancy experience delivering electrical building services projects.\nStrong project leadership and client-facing experience.\nThe confidence to build long-term client relationships and support business development activities.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams.\nCommercial awareness and an interest in helping grow an established regional business.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nKey technical requirements:\nHaving an understanding of the UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline and how to demonstrate this in project execution.\nHave UK project experience within Building Services MEP\nProven working understanding of latest electrical design software packages to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.\nShow an understanding of working with Revit MEP or other 3D design software to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.\nHave an ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD to allow the allocation / direction of work on projects.\nTechnical knowledge on the following is essential:\nLow voltage distribution systems\nstandby generation\nUPS systems\nCable calculations (via software and by hand)\nLighting calculations (via software and by hand)\nSmall power\nFire alarms\nIntruder detection\nAccess control & security systems\nDisabled call systems\nData cabling and outlets\nLightning protection\nAt 2bm, a Salute company, we believe in building long-term careers and investing in our people.
