Join us and help build what the industry runs on.\nAbout the Role\nYou design, implement, and maintain Samba's cloud infrastructure, systems, and services. It's a role for an experienced cloud professional who can collaborate independently across departments and make sure cloud technology initiatives align with business objectives and best practices.\nWhat You'll Do\n Lead Cloud Architecture: Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nRun Kubernetes: Architect, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters supporting mission-critical containerized applications, with Docker and orchestration platforms.\nSet Cloud Standards: Define and enforce cloud standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization, and champion DevOps and GitOps practices to improve deployment velocity and reliability.\nOperate and Optimize: Maintain, monitor, and optimize cloud environments across compute, storage, networking, and security, troubleshooting complex issues to ensure high availability, and lead monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery.\n Automate Everything: Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform, establish continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and drive automation-first provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.\n Secure and Govern: Design and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, encryption, and compliance controls, and own cost management and resource governance.\n Guide Across Teams: Serve as the cloud subject matter expert across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Security, translate business requirements into resilient cloud solutions, and lead documentation of architectures and runbooks.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, and 6+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles with demonstrated senior-level responsibility.\nDeep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP), including production-scale environments.\nExpert-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (such as Terraform) and infrastructure automation.\nExtensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems, including designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting clusters at scale.\nProficiency in scripting and automation (such as Python or Bash), and a strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nSamba is an equal opportunity employer.\nYour personal information\nWe collect personal information directly from you when you apply.
