About the Role

Based in Porto, you join our collaborative Engineering and Development teams, working closely with peers and decision-makers to maintain and develop our global services and products. You are a developer with a passion for quality: you build the tools and systems that prevent bugs, design the custom testing tools and test cases that validate new features before production, and take part in white-box testing and code reviews that ensure seamless releases.

What You’ll Do

• Test Full-Stack: Write and execute unit, integration, and stress test cases so backend and frontend components are production-ready.
• Explore the Code: Dive into application code to understand how features work under the hood and design more effective tests.
• Build Testing Tools: Develop and evolve internal tools and utilities needed to test complex new features or code changes.
• Automate Tests: Write and maintain automated test scripts for new features, helping us move away from manual verification.
• Debug and Investigate: Find the root cause of failures by analyzing logs and stack traces, and report bugs with high-quality technical detail.
• Collaborate on Features: Join Scrum ceremonies, ask “what if” questions during refinement to catch edge cases early, and take part in code reviews that keep changes maintainable with robust error handling.
• Learn and Support: Assist in maintaining testing environments, and work with Senior SDETs and Developers to learn how to architect scalable test suites and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

What You Bring

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical background, or equivalent practical experience, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) and modern software architecture.
• Technical curiosity: a natural problem-solver who enjoys deconstructing complex systems, and wants to know why something broke and how to prevent it from happening again.
• An Agile mindset: you thrive in collaborative environments and see Agile as continuous improvement, flexibility, and delivering value in iterative cycles, not just a set of meetings.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Java, Python, or C++, and eagerness to learn our stack, which is primarily .NET and C# (knowing it well is a major plus).
• Comfort in a terminal, with experience in (or strong interest in) scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash, and fluency in Git, including branches and pull requests.
• Strong conversational English (written and spoken), enjoyment of a multicultural environment, and a belief that quality is a shared responsibility with a high bar for clean, maintainable code.
• An advantage: previous experience as a Software Developer or QA Engineer, including internships or significant academic projects.
