Together, they enable customers to deploy and operate production AI environments with performance, reliability, and control.\nWe are a team of engineers and innovators building next-generation AI infrastructure systems designed for enterprise-scale deployments.\nAbout the role\nSambaNova is hiring Software Architects for the SambaRack platform.\nYou will help design and build the software architecture that enables customers to monitor, control, update, and diagnose SambaRack systems safely and reliably.\nThis is a hands-on software development role requiring significant technical expertise in systems and infrastructure, focused on building rack-scale hardware management and infrastructure software that operates in direct contact with hardware across diverse production environments, including customer-managed and air-gapped deployments.\nAs a Software Architect on the SambaRack team, you will:\nDesign scalable infrastructure services for rack-scale AI systems\nDefine platform architecture and technical direction for infrastructure components\nImprove observability, telemetry, and diagnostics capabilities\nDrive software design for infrastructure tightly integrated with hardware systems\nThis is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of:\nAI infrastructure\nDistributed systems\nHardware-software integration\nResponsibilities\nSome of your responsibilities will include:\nOwn the end-to-end technical architecture of the SambaRack infrastructure and management platform, ensuring it enables safe, reliable control, monitoring, and diagnostics for rack-scale AI systems.\nDefine and drive architectural strategy across engineering teams, aligning long-term platform direction with product and business objectives.\nLead design reviews for hardware-software integration points and infrastructure services, providing authoritative guidance on rack-scale system architecture and improving overall system reliability.\nProactively identify and resolve systemic risks, including performance bottlenecks, reliability gaps, and scaling constraints, before they impact customers.\nEstablish and evolve architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across the engineering organization.\nPartner with Hardware Engineering, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to translate infrastructure requirements into sound, robust architectural decisions.\nServe as a technical thought leader and mentor, fostering architectural excellence and systems-level thinking within the infrastructure software team.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform the platform's technical roadmap.\nArchitect new systems, components, and capabilities to solve new and interesting problems in the AI inference space.\nRequired qualifications\n12-15 years of software engineering experience\nStrong experience architecting infrastructure, systems, or platform software\nSolid programming experience in Go, Rust, Python, or C/C++\nStrong understanding of Linux, networking, concurrency, and distributed systems\nExperience designing reliable backend or control-plane services for production systems\nExperience with hardware management systems such as BMCs, Redfish, IPMI, or OpenBMC\nExperience with monitoring, telemetry, or observability systems for infrastructure platforms\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nAbility to collaborate across cross-functional teams\nKnowledge of software development best practices and coding standards\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with rack management, server management, or bare-metal infrastructure platforms\nExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, and metrics exporter design\nFamiliarity with fleet management, diagnostics systems, and hardware health monitoring\nExperience supporting enterprise or air-gapped deployments\nSolid understanding of Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes ecosystem\nExperience designing scalable infrastructure and distributed systems\nFamiliarity with telemetry systems and infrastructure observability tooling\n\nBase Salary Range:\nBase Pay Range\n₹10,300,000—₹12,500,000 INR\nSubmission Guidelines\n Please note that in order to be considered an applicant for any position at SambaNova Systems, you must submit an application form for each position for which you believe you are qualified. \nEEO Policy\n SambaNova Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
