Each week brings new opportunities to learn and solve problems related to site planning, grading, utility design, and stormwater management.\nYou’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to projects from the early planning stages through construction. We’re looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and ready to grow their career while serving clients and working with a great group of coworkers.\nWork Location: On-site with flexible work arrangements\nPay Rate Type: Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)\nProjected start date: May 2027\nResponsibilities\nApply engineering fundamentals to prepare complete and accurate project documents at key project milestones\nAssist with the design of commercial land development projects, including site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater management\nPrepare a variety of plans and exhibits, from early concept drawings and preliminary designs through construction documents.\nAssist Project Managers with design coordination between clients, contractors, geotechnical consultants, surveyors, and other project disciplines\nReview survey and other project information and incorporate it into design plans\nPerform basic engineering calculations and assist with technical reports and project documentation\nParticipate in project meetings and communicate with team members to help keep projects moving forward\nLearn and apply applicable local, state, and industry standards to project designs\nWork collaboratively with other engineers, surveyors, and project team members to develop practical solutions for clients.\nGrow your technical and project management skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to a variety of commercial projects\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred\n0-3 years of experience in civil engineering, internships included\nExposure to or coursework using Civil 3D; experience with grading and site design is a plus\nInterest in commercial land development and site design\nBasic understanding of grading, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control concepts\nStrong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills\nEagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow professionally in a team-based environment\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nWork is primarily performed in an office environment\nAbility to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds\nBenefit Information\nRegular full-time employees will have access to:\nMedical, dental, and vision plans\nHSA and FSA options\nEmployer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage\nEmployer-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nVoluntary benefits such as additional life insurance coverage, accident coverage, and critical illness coverage\nPaid time off and holidays\nRetirement 401(k) plan with company match\nSambatek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
