This is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role for an experienced civil engineering professional who enjoys building strong client partnerships, pursuing new opportunities, and leading successful projects.\nThe Client Service Manager will help shape the growth of our public-sector practice through business development, client engagement, team leadership, and project delivery. This individual will bring an established network of public-sector relationships and a strong understanding of the unique needs, processes, and opportunities within the public market.\nThe ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who is motivated by the opportunity to grow both their own career and the practice, while helping our clients and project teams succeed.\nWork Location: Hybrid- flexible to work in office and remotely\nExpected Compensation Range: $140,000 - 200,000 annually (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)\nPay Rate Type: Salary\nResponsibilities\nGrow Sambatek’s public-sector business by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and partnering with marketing and leadership teams on strategic pursuits\nBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with public-sector clients, agencies, and industry partners\nLead client development and retention efforts, with a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience\nDevelop and execute annual business development and marketing strategies to support growth within the Public Services practice\nIdentify and pursue RFP and other project opportunities, including developing proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets\nBuild strategic partnerships and collaborate across Sambatek’s practices to pursue opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients\nServe as a trusted advisor to key clients and help identify opportunities to expand Sambatek’s services and relationships\nLead projects for strategic public-sector clients, providing hands-on leadership throughout project delivery\nEstablish project scopes and budgets and work closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered with high quality, within budget, and on schedule\nProvide collaborative leadership and mentorship to project teams, helping staff grow their technical and professional skills\nPartner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve business development, client service, and project delivery processes\nContribute to a positive, collaborative culture where teams share knowledge, resources, and expertise to achieve successful project outcomes\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field preferred\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred\nEstablished relationships and a demonstrated network within the public-sector transportation or municipal markets\nExperience with business development, client relationship management, and pursuit of new project opportunities\nProven ability to develop proposals, scopes of work, project budgets, and other business development materials\nStrong knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations, processes, and requirements related to public-sector projects\nDemonstrated experience successfully managing projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and profitability\nProven ability to lead, mentor, and develop project teams\nStrong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate at all levels of an organization\nEntrepreneurial mindset with the initiative and vision to identify opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the Public Services practice\nCollaborative and positive approach, with a commitment to sharing resources, knowledge, and expertise to support team and project success\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nWork is primarily performed in an office environment\nAbility to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds\nBenefit Information\nRegular full-time employees will have access to:\nMedical, dental, and vision plans\nHSA and FSA options\nEmployer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage\nEmployer-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nVoluntary benefits such as additional life insurance coverage, accident coverage, and critical illness coverage\nPaid time off and holidays\nRetirement 401(k) plan with company match\nStarting January 1, 2026, eligible Minnesota employees will be covered under Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), providing paid, job-protected time away from work for family, medical, or parental needs\nSambatek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
