We’ve had a number of exciting project wins recently-join our team and make an impact today!\nWork Location: Hybrid, flexible work arrangements\nExpected Compensation Range: $45-55 per hour (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)\nPay Rate Type: Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week\nResponsibilities\nLead and oversee water resources components of transportation and land development projects through planning, design, and construction phases\nDevelop and review hydraulic and hydrologic models, drainage reports, storm sewer design, culvert design, and stormwater management systems\nServe as a technical lead for MnDOT and municipal projects, ensuring compliance with agency standards, manuals, and specifications\nPrepare and review plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resources design elements\nOversee and perform design using MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer, ensuring quality and efficiency in deliverables\nMaintain and strengthen client relationships through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and high-quality project delivery\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to project engineers, EITs, and designers\nSupport proposal development, scope definition, and project budgeting in collaboration with project managers and business development teams\nPromote cross-departmental collaboration and uphold Sambatek’s standards of technical excellence and client service\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering\n6-8 years of relevant experience in water resources design and analysis\nMinnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Environmental Engineering\nDemonstrated experience with MnDOT drainage design procedures and standards\nProficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, XP-SWMM, and others\nStrong working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor others, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment\n________________________________________\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading drainage design for state transportation agencies (MnDOT or similar)\nFamiliarity with MS4 permitting, stormwater quality design, and low-impact development (LID) practices\nExperience with Autodesk Civil 3D and GIS applications for stormwater modeling and mapping\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead client and agency coordination meetings\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nWork is primarily performed in an office environment\nAbility to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds\nBenefit Information\nRegular full-time employees will have access to:\nMedical, dental, and vision plans\nHSA and FSA options\nEmployer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage\nEmployer-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nVoluntary benefits such as additional life insurance coverage, accident coverage, and critical illness coverage\nPaid time off and holidays\nRetirement 401(k) plan with company match\nStarting January 1, 2026, eligible Minnesota employees will be covered under Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), providing paid, job-protected time away from work for family, medical, or parental needs\nSambatek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
