The position requires a can-do mindset, adaptability, leadership by example, accurate documentation, practical problem solving, and consistent attention to safety, reliability, cleanliness, and work quality.Key\nResponsibilities\nParticipate in and reinforce a culture of respect for others, promote a collaborative environment, and lead by example.\nEnsure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, orderly, and operational condition in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.\nEmbrace changing priorities and approach facility needs with a can-do, solutions-focused mindset.\nPlan, prioritize, and coordinate facility inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, corrective work, and improvement projects based on safety, operational needs, and the project plan.\nMonitor facility conditions and ensure identified safety, maintenance, cleanliness, and operational deficiencies are addressed and communicated to affected personnel.\nManage facility maintenance plans, schedules, work orders, service histories, inspection records, equipment logs, and other required documentation.\nCoordinate qualified vendors and service providers for inspections, repairs, installations, and infrastructure work; provide facility access and on-site support as needed.\nManage maintenance tools, spare parts, consumables, and inventory; identify replenishment needs and coordinate procurement or vendor support.\nCoordinate the setup, maintenance, and safe availability of shop-support equipment, facility utilities, workspaces, and equipment staging needed for prototype builds and R&D testing.\nProvide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support for mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical systems within the manager’s training and authorization.\nDirect or coordinate facilities personnel, shop personnel, vendors, and contractors assigned to facility tasks and projects, while promoting timely completion, accurate documentation, and accountability. Physical and Work Environment\nRequirements This is a hands-on management position in an R&D, fabrication, vehicle build, and facility maintenance environment. The employee must be able to perform physical work, lift reasonable weight, climb ladders, work at heights when required, safely use appropriate personal protective equipment and tools, and communicate on a technical and operational level. Duties and priorities may change as facility, prototype, and operational needs evolve.\nRequirements Required\nQualifications\nProgressive experience managing people, teams, and projects in a technical, facilities, industrial, building operations, or related environment.\nDemonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and document preventive maintenance, repairs, vendors, and facility improvement work.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.\nWorking knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and general building systems.\nAbility to evaluate facility needs, coordinate qualified service providers, and follow work through to completion.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment documentation, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.\nStrong organization, communication, vendor coordination, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently, coordinate the work of others, and manage changing priorities in a dynamic R&D environment.\nAbility to perform physical work, lift reasonable weight, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights when required.\nComputer literacy, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.\nPreferred\nQualifications\nExperience managing multi-disciplinary and cross-functional projects and/or teams.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, and/or Kanban boards.\nTechnical mindset with the ability to understand, organize, and support requirements compliance.\nExperience managing or coordinating facilities in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, fabrication, or R&D environments.\nElectrical or HVAC knowledge.\nExperience with preventive maintenance programs, work-order systems, equipment records, and
