At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nThis role as an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer is responsible for supporting semiconductor factory automation.The position is focused on hardware and management of new AMHS projects as well as upgrades / retrofits of existing AMHS equipment.\nThis position will own equipment installation through equipment qualification and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of safety, efficiency and cost. Additionally, this position also provide support for system operations and data analysis by using system/history logs to correct issues in a timely manner.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nManage internal customers, vendors and contractors to complete assigned projects.\nPerform QA/QC of incoming equipment prior to acceptance.\nCoordinate parts shipping, receiving, storage, and staging.\nOversee installation and validation of hardware and software upgrades.\nCommunicate technical information (8D) to senior leadership inside and outside of department through presentations.\nAssist with preventative maintenance activities by providing awareness of system performance and reliability.\nCreates standard recovery procedures and troubleshooting documentation.\nProvide 24X7 support for installation projects (7 days within a month on-call support is required).\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical)\n\n0 to 3 years of experience in Automation Engineering industry experience.\n\nAutoCAD certification and/or working experience strongly preferred.\n\nExamples of successful project management and/or certification.\n\nAlways looking for opportunities to simplify, automated tasks, and build new projects.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast paced manufacturing environment.\n\nAbility to communicate technical details both verbally and in writing.\n\nAbility to work across cross cultural settings and globally distributed projects.\n\nAble to work in construction environment with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE: hard toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, etc.) and wear clean room suit per the SAS Fab protocol.\n\nMust be able to lift > 25 lbs.\n\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $95,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
